Tuesday: Trend of the Week

Hello Fashionista's!
It's the last day of September. 9 months of the year are already over.
Tuesdays are going to be trend day! This weeks trend is black and white! Black and white can be elegant, classy, sophisticated, edgy, fun and girly. Stripes, prints and polka dots are hot in black and white. From shirts, pants, dresses, shoes and accessories everything looks better in these basic colors. For a more girly style try a polka dot dress, black tights and a white bow cuff bracelet. For an edgy style try B&W splattered leggings, a white tank, B&W scarf and cute black ankle booties. For a more elegant sophisicated look go classic in a black A-line skirt, white ruffle-y button down with some fabulous B&W heals.
Above all have fun with the B&W trend this fall. From chic to fierce to flirty or classic; there is something out there in B&W for every Fashionista. Remember to add your unique touch to it. Maybe with a pop of color?!?
As always, stay classy, Fashionistas!

The Weather is Getting to Cooler!

Hello Fashionista's!
It's Monday which means the routine starts up again and since September is coming to an end the weather is getting colder. Instead of hiding from the chilly temperatures, embrace them! For the next few weeks you can still enjoy wearing your fun dresses and skirts paired with tights, leggings or even skinny jeans (if you feel like being daring). Not everyone can pull off dresses with skinny jeans, but if you can go for it. I love this look and it works if your aren't too curvy, it adds volume where non-curvy girls want volume, around the hips and bottom.

Add ImageJackets and sweaters are cute layers to add to an outfit to bring some fun into Fall! I personally love sweaters and warm furry winter jackets. Sweaters are a comfy stylish way to stay warm when you have to go out in the cold temperatures or even to stay in and watch a movie. Everyone has a favorite sweater that they go to in the colder months and always have it with them when they get cold. And then when the weather gets even colder and snow starts coming down, you need to put on that furry winter coat or that wool or twead jacket that keeps you warm for the next six months!!

Fall in Love with these Fabulous Trends!!

This fall it’s all about pops of color and textures to warm you up, when the temperatures drop fast.

Lot’s of volume will be seen everywhere this season. Ruffles, lace, layers, and strong shoulders will be how the volume will be added. Ruffles in tops and dresses created volume on the upper body. Strong shoulders will also add to this and make your waist look tiny! Lace will be a sweet little mystery that shines on garments and it will feel a little like a Victorian vibe.

Fashionista’s with a more hippie or boho style will love this season, with all the layers, beads, feathers and flow-y fabrics. I personally love the hippie/boho style and I don’t really like when it becomes trendy because it just feels over used and weird, but it usually doesn’t stay “in” very long so that’s what makes it wearable for me. My personal style has probably always been on the hippie/boho chic side for more than five years and I won’t change it. I definitely have made hippie classy! Or I like to think I have.

However, with the more girly, flow-y hippie side we have a tougher chic look coming out with motorcycle jackets, menswear and hardware. Motorcycle jackets with skinny jeans and girly accessories will make a cute girly tough chic look. High-waisted pants with girly accessories will bring a refreshed twist to menswear. Hardware comes into play with metal used for a tough-girl feel. Metal used in accessories and on denim.

Corduroy is a fall staple fabric choice and it will be a nice cozy alternative if you don’t feel like wearing jeans all the time. Corduroy also makes you feel a little dressier, so class up your look with corduroy pants or a pretty jacket.

For those of us Fashionista’s who want to stand out and “Make a Statement” there are the bright 80’s neon colors to try out and big bangles. Bangles will be seen that are all colors, jeweled, have chains and/or made out of chains. Grab a few, mix and match or wear one really statement making bangle this season. Also make sure you always throw on a “pop” of color, so you don’t fall into a dark cold feeling to end the year.

Stay classy Fashionista's!!
